Hi there, I’m Kaosi Anyanwu! But you can call me Kaosi.
I’m a Software Engineer at Microsoft, and I’m passionate about leveraging AI and data engineering to empower the cloud. In my role, I specialize in training and deploying machine learning models to enable automation, as well as monitoring and detecting outages. My ultimate goal is to make the cloud run seamlessly on its own.
Additionally, I harness the power of data engineering to ensure that the data infrastructure supporting these initiatives is robust and efficient, paving the way for smarter, more data-driven decisions.I’m also part of the team leading Microsoft’s mission to achieve carbon-negative data centers by 2030.
I have a knack for creating and leading technical projects, both in my professional work, research endeavors, and personal projects.
My journey began with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, and I furthered my education with a Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, complemented by a minor in Computer Science, from Pennsylvania State University.
Beyond my work, I’m an advocate for STEM education, mentoring the younger generation and spreading awareness of STEM fields through various platforms. I’ve had the privilege of speaking at prestigious events like the National Society of Black Engineers Conference, the Microsoft x Grace Hopper Conference Panel, and the AIAA SciTech Conference, the world’s largest event for aerospace research and technology. I’m also the proud founder of STEM Bridge Incorporated, a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering girls in Nigeria who are interested in STEM fields. Additionally, I’m working on LikeMinds , a community-focused app tailored to specific needs, emphasizing diversity, shared experiences, and growth opportunities.
In the realm of real estate, I’m an investor with a few properties to my name. I am constantly on the lookout for opportunities to expand my real estate portfolio, including both long and short-term rentals.
Outside of my professional pursuits, you’ll often find me indulging my passion for fitness, drawing, reading, and exploring new horizons through travel.
